RAVI Loves Trees

Our environmental commitment

Rooted in Austria

RAVI was born in Vienna, and Austria is our home. RAVI Loves Trees is how we give back to it: locally, in a forest we can visit, with results we can count.

RAVI Loves Trees

A commitment, not a campaign

In 2026 we launched RAVI Loves Trees together with our partner Wald4Leben. Together we are replanting cleared forest land in the northern Waldviertel, Lower Austria, with a new, climate-resilient mixed forest.

We chose not to tie our trees to a sales promotion. Instead, RAVI commits to a number of trees every year and builds on it year after year. Every tree is planted in Austria, and every tree is cared for long after it goes into the ground.

01 — Why the Waldviertel

Forests under pressure

Austria's forests are under pressure. In the Waldviertel, long periods of drought and bark beetle infestations have hit spruce-dominated forests hard, and many areas have had to be cleared.

A lot of this land is not replanted by its owners, because the effort is high and returns come only after decades. Our goal with Wald4Leben is to bring these areas back as forests that can cope with a changing climate, and to keep them for the generations after us.

02 — The RAVI forest

Our own plot in Ziernreith

Our trees are planted together on a dedicated part of one of Wald4Leben's reforestation areas: the RAVI forest. Our first trees, the ones planned for this autumn and our trees for 2027 all grow on this same plot. From 2028, new trees will be planted on new plots in Austria, so the RAVI forest will grow in more than one place.

03 — Built to last

A mixed forest, bees included

Instead of a single species, the RAVI forest is planted as a regional mixed forest. Mixed forests adapt better to changes in their environment, are more resistant to pests and storms than monocultures, and offer a home to a far wider range of plants and animals.

Wald4Leben places bee colonies in every project forest to help pollinate the young trees and shrubs. And planting is only the start: Wald4Leben looks after the RAVI forest for at least 10 years after our partnership ends, in full compliance with the Austrian Forest Act.

Planned

We count only trees that have actually been planted. Each planting is documented by Wald4Leben with a certificate that states its location, and we update these numbers as the RAVI forest grows. With on-site cameras, drones and VR, we can follow how our trees grow, and we will share what we see here.
